What Routines Help You Find Your Way to Success? 3

I admit that I am a sucker for a good headline, this one especially appealed to me because I am such a morning person: “5 Things Super Successful People Do Before 8 AM” And then I got even more affirmation because I do 4 out of the 5 things a lot of the time (wish I could say every day). Just this morning, I went on a walk, ate a good breakfast, meditated/visualized, reviewed my day’s to-do list and appointments, all well before 8 AM. The one that I don’t do very consistently is number five: “…do that least desirable task on your list first.” I can see how this would make me more “super successful” and plan to give it a try.

While I see a lot of value with articles like this, I also emphasize with clients that what works for some or most may not be the best fit for you. It does not give you an excuse to throw out the research but I do think it is important to try different routines and find what really works well for your success.

Regardless of what someone else says is the sure-fire way for you to be super successful; there is no one right way. The only wrong way is to not pay attention to the connection of your routine and your results and then not make adjustments accordingly. That will keep you lost and stuck on your path to success.

    This is wonderful.
I’ve got some of this down, but I absolutely need to get up earlier. Even with out the wine with dinner (or the Fireball Whiskey) I’m not good for much at night!

Thanks Denise! I am the same way, I’ve stopped planning to get anything done in the evening because I know that the likelihood of it happening is very low. I especially enjoy a productive morning!

Indeed, every person is different. I myself can accomplish certain things in the morning and enjoy doing my Bible reading and quiet reflection time plus house keeping tasks and even appointments with clients. But at night, my energy levels rise and my creativity kicks in so I do a lot of my writing, planning and brain storming at night, and almost all of my billable hours for writing, too. Works for me!
